Goddammit, why are links not underlined?
All the afternoon times 10am and later are taken
I don't think I'll sign up for an earlier time because it looks like the earliest time in the group so far is 1:30, and if I took a 9 am, that would mean everyone leaves very early Sat. morning or I drive myself. Unless everyone was going up Fri. night and hanging out, I'll prob. pass on this one...

Chris I was thinking about spending the night at my house in NOVA, and then going at 9am saturday, if you wanted to stay, it would be a little less driving, let me know.

fun stuff! Jess and I had a good time yesterday at the ATL event. Don't know if I'd drive for hours to do it, but they had a pretty good setup. 3 short courses, each to evaluate suspension (the twistiest track), traction (a short slalom and some sand put down on a long turn), and performance (0-45ish with radar gun, hard brakes, and a couple turns to get back). Got put in groups of 3 plus an instructor, and took turns taking each car around each course, once per driver.
Some more time in each car would have been cool, but the quick rotation made the differences in the cars easy to see, and it's always fun melting the tires in brand new cars on other people's dime. The event was pretty obviously sponsored by Subarau-- I think the whole point was to make you think of the Subie as a real competetor to these other semi-luxo brand cars. And it worked. The Legacy GT spanked the Volvo in every way, and I ended up rating it better than the bimmer. All in all a fun event, and it didn't take all day.
Yeah I am signed up for 9am and its in Philadelphia so we'll have to see if ISAT isn't killing me with assignments that weekend.
