disturbing that a grown man would take the "console warz" that personal
Just a box...you never see the system itself. Circuit City has a mountain of empty boxes we use for display, he might not have even needed to buy the system to get a box.
Edit- I do however see your point

so i played a little bit today at circuit city. fonts were really jaggy, frame rates pretty low, and the triggers on the control? shaped so when you really press on them, your fingers slide right off them!
i will be not be getting a ps3 for at least a couple years.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
I watch that show X Play quite a bit, and the only review that they had that was really favorable so far for the PS3 was Resistance: Fall of Man. Even that title they said really isn't all that fantastic for what the PS3 has been touting that it can do. Game developers need to step it up and use the resources that system has, or else it's going to be nothing more than a differently branded 360 with a Blu Ray player built in.

I was at an EB Games in the mall a couple weeks ago, checking out the Wii, The PS3 they had there was frozen. The guy behind the counter said it had been freezing randomly since they opened it, so they were just going to leave it frozen on the screen as kind of a "message" to potential buyers or something. I was actually impressed with the Wii though, the graphics werent heart stopping and using the controllers was fun. I could see it becoming more of a novelty than a legitimate game system though
Every time I've been to Best Buy (two different ones), the PS3s have been frozen/suck on pause/off.

interesting, because the 360 has been proven to be technologically more capable. i'll find the link if anyone doubts me.

I don't doubt it at all. The only thing that the PS3 had going for it was that Cell circle jerk bullshit. While I've no doubt that "many hands make light work" Sony and the Cell have got two problems: (as rex sees it)
A: "Many hands make light work" may be true, but I'm not sure that video games, especially the way they're made now are the greatest way to test this and
B: Sony assumes that people will be able to program for that shit. He's probably right, no one probably WILL ever tap the full power of the PS3 because it's too damn hard to get to, and/or has extremely limited applications. I've said that about the Cell & PS3 since the beginning, and I'm all twitterpated now that it's coming true.
Sony can just go ahead and stop making game systems. Let Microsoft eat Nintendo or ooh, an apple/nintendo merger! Emo hippies everywhere orgasm at the thought!

I just picked this game up today, and I'm in love. I created a guy yesterday, beat the shit out of the computer on easy difficulty, and then got my ass handed to me by one of my friends. I was Ali, he was the filipino guy (about 3 classes below), and he beat me in 3 rounds. So much fun. It's almost as if you have to talk shit while playing the game, when you land big punches and such.
I still haven't set up any xbox live subscription or anything, despite the fact that I have had the 360 since July. I was actually thinking about trying to sell the 360 a week or so ago.
