$30,000/year

Not exactly sure with the commute as long as it is. But I need to start paying my own medical insurance.

You gotta start somewhere though. Good luck man, and congrats on the offer!

460 take home per week, probably 50 in gas per week.... that gets ugly fast.

still better than $0/week

I say take the job and keep looking. If it's something you really want to do then keep doing it. I really think you should be making more and if they feel the same way then when you recieve another offer for more then they'll up your salary.

I am excited about it, I am sure it will go up. I suppose I will take it. Just $6 a day for gas is not too appealing.

living at home saves you at least $10k a year (after taxes), so you wont be in bad shape at all as long as you dont mind living with the 'rents. You should even be able to swing some tracktime.

congrats Feersty. I was thinking of taking a job in FL for 25k, but after working out a budget and knowing how my car hobby will only continue, I decided to look elsewhere. It might be tough for a while, but just learn to budget real well.

Traffic going up ffx county parkway sucks in the morning... if you're north of I66, its going to really suck in the afternoon.
