460 take home per week, probably 50 in gas per week.... that gets ugly fast.

$6/day? what kinda gas mileage do you get? that is a REAL ugly commute no matter which way you go.

living at home saves you at least $10k a year (after taxes), so you wont be in bad shape at all as long as you dont mind living with the 'rents. You should even be able to swing some tracktime.

congrats Feersty. I was thinking of taking a job in FL for 25k, but after working out a budget and knowing how my car hobby will only continue, I decided to look elsewhere. It might be tough for a while, but just learn to budget real well.
