a seatbelt is a very bad thing in a kart. no doubt they are just required by a moronic insurance company that doesnt know that a kart is safer without a belt.

Like a bike, you'd probably rather separate from the kart in a bad wreck... Do the folks racing shifter karts and such wear seatbelts?
