300zx's are not that bad if they are taken care of and not a TT. Thanks for the boost of confidence though.

What did I do Mike? No matter how hard I tried to stay out of this thread I couldn't.

It has nothing to do with confidence. It is an older car. You are buying it for its sporty or performance aspect. Things will need to be fixed replaced repaired. It will start small. Maybe you'll read that a certain set of spark plugs are better, or that a drop in filter would be nice. Or on the forums someonewill have mentioned that certain vaccuum hoses can be removed or that replacing a few bushings will tighten up the feel.

You may not have cash for big mods but you will be start working on the car very soon.

You should start a project thread to document the things you do over time; has nothing to do with modifying it. It serves as a good resource for future members and for current members is an opportunity to live vicariously/provide insight/share ideas. Plus, seriously, why WOULDN'T you start a thread to show off your new set of wheels.

Also, not being a downer, but if you saw the car and know for a fact that you're buying it, I hope you signed a bill of sale and put down a deposit. As somebody who has bought and sold a LOT of cars, I do not hold them for a week just b/c somebody says they want it; cash talks, the others walk... As the potential buyer, I know that you're getting your hopes up (been there many times) but until that key is in your hands and car is parked in your driveway it is still fair game for anybody paying greater than or equal to what you are; that is the way of the used car market. I'm not saying this to scare you into jumping into it nor do I want to bust your bubble at all, just trying to share some perspective on how the seller may also be working.

And okay I thought you were basically saying it was a POS. Yeah I might end up doing that just to make it a better car soon. We will see.

My dad talked to him and put money down. I will start a thread then Big Grin

Lol, Well most Z's have an antenna delete or at least a different one cause that one is ugly. I would just listen to my own music anyways. But yeah this car is already growing on me Tongue
