Just a heads up, what would everyone like to do concerning a post-karting lunch? We could attempt to go to a restaurant; the alternative is Ralph Priebe of Subaru N.America has again offered to buy us pizzas at the G-Force party room. The latter is easier, but the restaurant has a better atmosphere IMO. What do you think?

I think we are heading towards a 4 person team deal, with names drawn from two hats (alums and students) to make teams.

How about separate the names into groups so that the random drawing is more equitable. Just seed people (1-40) roughly based on their fast times from the last time they karted. Divide it into 4 groups of ten, then randomly select 1 from each group for each team.

So a team might look like: #2, #15, #25, and #32. That way you'll get a good mix of people, it will be balanced, and the racing will be better.

I/we have no idea what time each and every of the 40 people ran last time they karted with us. I think we're approaching this from the basic standpoint of alums meeting students, so the simple way we've decided to keep it will work for that purpose.

I was wondering if anyone will be driving that day from JMU to karting then back to JMU again after karting, or after karting back to Pennsylvania or New Jersey. I need a ride to and from karting and I am dieing to go home one weekend (I live an hour out of Philadelphia). So if anyone can give me a ride to and from karting, or if anyone is from the Philadelphia area please email me or message me

As with all current students, rides will of course be provided to and from the event. We might have to ask a few of you with cars to drive since pretty much everyone is going but we'll def. get you and others a ride

If we need it, I have the Escape here for a bit and I can help out with rides if there's a lack of space.

We'll be sending out an email requesting everyone with a car to meet at the Rockingham lot at a designated time, so watch out for that.

A notice for all: We have been quite lenient in letting people pay after our Feb. 29 deadline, and it has the potential to cost us. If you have NOT paid by midnight TONIGHT, you are not coming karting and your spot will be given up. Pay now or don't come. Thanks

This event is coming up in a few days, I hope everyone has a safe trip down there and here's to what will hopefully be a great event for all involved!

Just as a side note: To those coming from NoVA etc, please take into account that you need to be there at minimum 15 minutes before our on-track time (10am) so that the rules can be explained to you by G-Force staff, AND so that we can go through the process of drawing names to make 4 person teams.

Thanks and I'll see you at Thunderdome!.....I mean, karting.
