This weekend might not be the greatest weekend to go get it, as most of us are going to be tied up with some sort of racing. I don't see why you don't spend the 5 bucks for a trip permit and drive it home.

Also, if you still want Rex to take a look at the one in Hoodbridge I'll let him know, he's travelling home from Seattle today, so he has no internet access.

Just an FYI - that 90' on Ebay doesn't have a drivers side airbag........

I can't get down on Goodspeed too much because that was my parents 1 required item on the 1st car I bought if I wanted them to pay for its insurance

Well, I don't have any means of getting to Nashville, and I'm not going to ask someone (who didn't explicilty offer) to drive me to Bristol or somewhere hours away. Basically, if he is interested in getting more money to make the trip, so be it.

Haha, thanks...two red MK3's from TN...hmmmm.

On the topic of buying the car...I trust this car/seller much more than some random ad on ebay, which is what I meant by buying the car unseen. I've been in touch with the owner via email for weeks asking questions, he's sending me detailed pics and I ran a carfax.

Well I'm sorry to say this without sounding dumb but the guy sold the car out from under me. He sold it locally this morning, the day before I was going to get it. I'm pissed, saddened.....this was everything and more I could ever want for my first car and its gone.

If he was upfront with you about that then he probably wasn't upfront with you about other things with the car.

Hopefully this will give you more time to find something closer that you can actually test drive.
