Race Car V4.0 - Ground up

I really enjoyed poking around this when I picked up my car on Saturday (no drivetrain yet, then) - gahh, such a clean build. Deren also showed me how big of a tire can be stuffed under those fenders. Mmmmnff.

I just sit here with a big stupid grin on my face watching the progress and your golf cart videos. It is amazingly clean and I happy your able to build it from the ground up and know every little thing that is done. I'm in continuous awe of your ability to balance a family, career, relocation and a build of this level. Keep on keepin' on!

Thanks guys. It definitely is extremely tough balancing everything. This is purely elective so I bring it on myself; so I guess I can't whine too much Wink

My support system is extremely strong; and at a young age I realized how short life truly can be. Keep the go-pedal down!

Yeah, good thing you have an autocross car, too.

Give me a shout when you get the car home if you need a hand.

Crazy week for me personally but getting things slowly done on the race car. Currently it sits with the interior and engine bay looking like the spaghetti monster threw up all over it (wiring).
Done:
Rear Suspension/reinforcements/Brakes/Gas Tank/Custom gas tank venting/rear bumper/wheel liners
Most of Front Suspension, the control arms/custom speedline bar and mounts/shocks/brakes etc are done, still have bump steer to setup
Ran all the wiring and did most of the actual pinning and soldering needed. Will be throwing in the dash at the next opportunity and cleaning it all up.
Front windshield is in and roof is urethane and riveted on
Hood vents/mounts complete and all mounted up
CAE shifter mounted/adjusted
Engine/transmission/rear diff/driveshaft all in
Mount for Fuse box

To go:
Finish wiring
Mount for AIM
Mount for Switches/Radio
Airbox
Mount for AEM
Radiator/Front Core Support
Transponder
Alignment/Corner Balance/ballast
Wing Install and Setup
Finish welding up exhaust setup
Kill Switch and Battery Mounting
Fire Bottle Setup
Brake switch setup
Trunk Opener
Steering Rack Limiters
Footrest (footwell drops off without carpet
Rear Diff Bracing
AN Lines for Air Jacks
Bumper/Canards/Splitter
Harnesses/Seats etc
And then the million little things that don't make an official list
