http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/25/video...ng-gt-5-0/ Is this the summer of 2002? Ford has a little history of underrating and over delivering on the good stuff.
More power with 200 less pounds to lug around when compared to its cross town rival from GM? Yes please.

they definately look bland and dated already.
the camaro is growing on me a lot, I like them more every time I see them.
but best looking of the retro pony cars is by far the Challenger
As someone who has typically been more of a GM person, I don't really like the new camaro all that much.
They look pretty good at best. I definitely like the way the 4th gen trans ams look way better. They are way way too heavy. If you have ever sat in one, it feels like your in a tank with the doors closed because the windows are so high up and small.
That said, the plastic shit on the bottom of the new mustangs looks AWFUL. The only color they look good in is black unless someone were to paint the plastic pieces to match the rest of the cars. However, ford is really stepping up their game finally. The new mustang will definitely be faster than the camaro.

I honestly considered one, even optioned them out, but then I sat in one. As soon as I sat in it, the design of the dash changed my mind. I don't know if they're trying too hard to be retro, but everything seemed pre-schoolish.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
Certainly is a lot of car for the money. I was especially impressed with the skidpad numbers. While I'm sure it's not going to be as nimble and tossable as a lighter car with IRS I imagine the handling will be pretty darned good.

Who needs an IRS when you can just steer the car with the throttle!
BTW, the all new car set to debut in 2014 (for the 50th Anny.) will have an IRS and is rumored to be the size of a fox body.

This could be epic win or epic fail.

They've been saying the "next car has IRS" for 20 years.

Um, no they haven't.
There's always been noise about IRS in the mustang, then they did it and it sucked. Seems like they sell plenty of cars that do just fine with the stick axle so why bother?

Honestly I can't see why Ford would bother with an IRS on the next Mustang. People who buy that car either don't particularly care or actually prefer the solid rear. Maybe for the Cobra it makes sense but for the regular Mustang if it ain't broke...
