It appears that I will be pulling out of the Hyperfest this year. Motor is nowhere and I don't feel the need to rush it at this point. I needed some time off anyway. It started to be less fun winning in the Tech Shed. Maybe by the next NASA race.....

And for me, winning in the tech shed isnt that bad... at least they are rooting out the people that arent playing by the rules. you were still the fastest that played by the rules!
As a tech inspector its tough when you find someone that isnt within the rules. I've been doing this for a long time now, and you develope relationships with people... its just part of being at the track and seeing people 7-10 times a year.
Its part of the game.

Woo hoo! XR's checklist is almost done! No new suspension as I had hoped for, but at least the alignment will be much, much better this time around. And I have a new steering wheel which adds at least 25 horsepower. OH, and new paint, that's gotta be good for at least a couple of G's handling capacity!
It is going to be strange those first few laps. Haven't driven that car in two years, it has new (used RA-1) tires, new brakes, new master cylinders, different alignment, and it will hopefully be lower. Yippee!

Yep! I forget his name off the top of my head  . He's a nice guy though. He and his son work on them and try to race them in SCCA. I'm unsure of their success though...?

They moved out of there last week I'm told. I haven't been out there yet this week but I'll be there tomorrow.

They haven't done that in awhile... so you're probably right. They're going to have ~60 cars in qualifying so it'll be a crap shoot anyway. :?

Have fun guys, wish I could be there, but ill be at least making an appearance at Shanghaii International Raceway. Kyle which hpde are you? Am I gonna get some competition in hpde2  . Have fun dude, this is definitely the most fun event of all of them. I even have one of my good friends "in ya pants" (for those who know) asking if she could go and she doesnt give a flying hoot about cars but she loved last year. Post pictures up, and dont worry ill post pictures up of my adventures, already got over 600 pictures and videos and im only 4 weeks into my 11 week program. And I havent even caught all I wanted on camera but keep running out of space on my memory card!
Laura might be out there working and Jason might be out there so keep in mind there are new recruits! Have fun guys!
