Last year the garages were $199 for the weekend, and the suite above the garage was $110. I'd be interested in splitting that with someone, the garage has enough room for 2 small cars and associated supplies/tools.

I wanna say it's $140-$180 depending on the weekend. There's something to be said for waking up the sound of racecars... in a bed... with HVAC. I'd spend it if it were my money.
Why not just go crazy and get a suite with a garage?

FWIW, some of the people that stayed in the suites last year complained that if anyone in the garage (not just the one below them) wanted to do any sort of work on a vehicle there was no chance anyone would get some sleep. I think that was a run-on but I'm not rereading it.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

That reminds me... I need to get a nice lightweight uberrated bag if we're gonna do the 3rd annual Memorial Day Canoe trip. I'm not holding my breath because you'll prolly have plans to get married that weekend or something but lugging those huge down bags is unnecessary.

any donkeys who want a room better get on it quick.
The only hotel I found that didn't want close to two hundred bucks was
Quality Inn South Boston
2001 Seymour Drive
South Boston, VA 24592
RJ, Maeng-We have a room with a double bed.
I made it online so I'm going to call and confirm with the local guys so they don't "lose" my reservation.
*Just got off the phone with Jessica. She has confirmed the room. Yesss.*
Two feet.
How much is it? How far of a drive?

80.99 per night and it's 22 minutes from VIR. From the map, it looks like VIR is in the middle between Danville and South Boston.
Ammenities include wireless internet and bed.
Two feet.
I dont know, an extra $60/person for the weekend is worth not being 30 minutes away from the track and the garage use for me.
I think I am going to book a garage and suite, who's in with me?

That's fine with me, homo. Just get it done and I'm in. Staying in VIR would be sweet. I tried to call them but they didn't return my phone but confirm the pricing.
Two feet.
I left a message for them also. If I dont get a call back I will try again tomorrow.

Last year the Lodge Rate and the Room above the garage was the same for the weekend. For a NASA weekend (both times I was there) it was 150/night for the room and $200/weekend for the garage, but the rate will change from $99-$200/night. Considering when NASA goes the weekend starts on Thursday night the garage is a nice deal for 3 days.
The lodge/lofts (same room layouts) have large DLP's and dvd players and a whirlpool + shower.
I just got a call back from VIR - they still had PCA on the schedule for that weekend, and had no idea what the garage/suite rates would be yet. They're going to call me back when they figure it out.

VIR's site says that camping costs 40 bucks.
Two feet.
VIR Lodge called me back.
It's 109 per night which is pretty sweet. I'd be down for that. The garage is 199 for the weekend which I don't really need nor want.
Two feet.
i'd be in for some floor space at the lodge. i can't sleep in a bed with rj...
