Si senior.
If you're mounting it in contact with paint, let me know and I'll get you some adhesive-backed foam cushioning from work to put on the plate to help protect the paint.
That would be much appreciated. I put some Velcro (the fuzzy side) on this plate and I think that'll work for the short term. But some Toyota-approved foam would be even better!

I've pulled a couple pieces for you. Should definitely help against damaging the paint.

Put the first tank of gas in the car yesterday. With the motor still not-really-broken-in, some light hooning, commuting, and all the moving around various dealer lots, it averaged 22.5 mpg. I'm hoping to see this number increase to ~24 or 25 with time.
The car has electronic errything and I have my first nit to pick with one of the systems it has. There is a "Hill Assist" that does what Subarus have done for years - it holds the brakes for up to 5 seconds if the vehicle is on an incline, clutch depressed, and in gear. So, you can let off the brakes and not roll as you engage the clutch.
Yeah, I stalled it twice at a stoplight. I think it was a combination of the car dragging the brakes longer than I wanted, and my not giving it enough gas to actually get up the hill. For reference, it's an off-camber, relatively steep hill. I haven't had issues on smaller hills, and the system is great when I want to back into my driveway.
Fortunately, if it continues to be an annoyance, I can turn it off and it will stay off until I turn it back on.

That's good that it will stay off full time. I read the newer STi's you can turn it off but it resets every time the car is powered off.

You can turn it off on the STi and it stays off until you turn it on, but a light illuminates on your dash to tell you it's off.

Luckily you can turn it off. The WRX is ON all the time.

Don' go by what the gauge says - the one on the Mustang usually under-estimates what I am actually getting by 1 or 2 mpg.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

I actually calculated this tank by hand (well, by iPhone) and it came out to like 22.6 or something. The dash computer is telling me that the new tank is doing slightly better MPGs. I'll re-calculate when I fill up again.

Spot on about the seats, really comfortable and supportive! At 5'10 I felt like I was just a smidge too short, would be perfect for guys 6ft or taller (like Jake and DJ).

Dig the color of your ST. My girlfriend's cousin has a red ST and I was really surprised the first time I rode in it. They are sweet rides!
Well, I'm home from a quick weekend trip down to JMU. I was pleased to see a relatively-huge turnout for a "cruise on 33 West lol" Facebook post. We had probably 15 or so people show up, and a good selection of cars to drive and ride in.
MM-friend Nate Carden rode with Andrew in his 328is, and shot a few photos of the drive. Parked at the bottom of the mountain, on the WV side:
Now, as far as the car and how it handled and things. I installed a Steeda rear sway bar last weekend, and while it doesn't make a lick of difference on my commute... It really kept the handling in line on the mountain. Keeping the car in 3rd, I had plenty of powerband to mess with. The tires stuck, it didn't want to plow (and I did push it a decent amount) and it was entirely predictable. The extra cost for the seats-and-stuff package was worth every dollar... The front Recaros are just fantastic through hard turns.
Also took Route 211 home from JMU. WHY did I not know how awesome this road was during college? Oh man, it just was the cherry on top of a great weekend.
After all this, I can't wait to see how she does at VIR in a few weeks!
