What's the requirement for those guys who run those with NASA? How does one acquire a NASA license for that? Please tell me it's the same process as everyone else not "hey, nice legends car, try not to do anything dumb, but thanks for coming out."

Even better.

It's pretty scary at local dirt tracks. Not even lying when I say you could show up with a 900 horsepower super late model and race against World of Outlaws drivers without any prior driving experience. It's pretty ugly when that happens, obviously.

The legends stuff would be awesome if you were only on track with those, and with drivers who actually knew what they were doing. Otherwise, F that.

To be fair, back around the time I was racing there was some chatter to require them to have a real competition license so that may have changed since then.

So upon further reflection, does anyone want to split a SRF with me for next season? I could store and tow it and we trade off weekends driving and crewing. Fields are typically 12-30 on any given weekend and they usually get their own group with DC or NC region SCCA.

Yeah I'm not too worried about it. I'll get a hitch, I can find alum trailers that would fit the car that weigh 300 lbs, and the car is 1200 something. So it'd end up a little over 1500# I'm sure, and I'd have to be careful that I don't also put another 1000# of stuff in the car. I'd consider an eventual trade up to an Xterra or Jeep, but I think it'd be fine for a while. Compared to using a minivan to tow a WAY overloaded moto trailer full of brake rotors and my days with the Previa with two motorcycles in it, I think this is a safe play.
