Have had leather seats. Aside for impressing girls or in a REALLY high-end car, I would prefer cloth any day.

I think Leather is hella easier to keep clean in a car you are going to daily drive. It sounds like channing is talking about the leather seats of cars from 15 years ago, but I've had 3 cars with leather seats, and never had a bit of problem with them cracking or anything due to sun or temperature. As far as holding you in place you could make an argument, but for a DD, I dont think its a problem

Cloth is just so bobo on most cars, but I do like Alcantara.

Leather with Alcantara inserts to prevent slippage and burnage is where it's at.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Any reason you're ignoring the SC that fits your criteria to a T? Smooth, quiet motor, seats that will soothe you, decent stereo stock, will continue running after the Armageddon. Tints'nramz and you're set to ball Smile

Notes about the SC coming from someone who owned one for a daily.

1) Trunk is small...and no passthrough as the gas tank is in the way. Dont plan on hauling anything long or big or itll be in the passenger seat.
2) Doors are huge, kind of a pain in parking lot (same problem but not as bad with the E36 coupe, get e36 sedan)
3) DAMN good stock stereo, at least the optional Nakamichi that I had, and if you want I know how to hardwire an ipod charging and direct connect in it with full digital quality.
4) Smooth, both ride and engine. The v8 was easily one of the best motors ive ever driven.
5) All their seats are cracked by now..but their damn comfy, most have heated seats as well
6) Gas mileage with the V8 is abysmal and after spending lots of time on the boards, the 6s dont have much better.
7) Even without lowering it..it was low and I would constantly smack the front end. Simply due to the overhang.
8) Gauge cluster needles go out...it will happen. not an if. And there are many kits but kind of pricey.
9) Get an LSD, thing is fun, but I was always reminded it needed one.

Overall its wayyyy more luxurious and nice than an E36 (and way more power too out of the v8). but the functionality of 2 doors is extremely limiting with no fold down seats and small trunk.

Hah, sweet swagger wagon. I'd rock it. Manual or auto?

And I'm (hopefully) going to look at something tomorrow afternoon if the pix check out. It's not an E36.
