good point, I need to start haggling, but its hard when the car is initially priced 2-3k over what its reasonably worth. Just did a KBB and TMV estimates on a 05 mazda3 hatch w/ 55k and they both put the car at 11k.

ive noticed that the used car market is actually pretty thin right now. people hanging onto cars longer than they would have I suppose, so maybe that is affecting prices.

you can get crazy good deals on new cars and even 0% financing on a lot of them. Its kinda short notice but I'm sure there are some really good Memorial day deals to be had.

Have to agree with Maeng here. We bought ours new with 1% (would have been 0% if only my name was on it) for $17K. With those payments, you can throw the rest in an e-Trade account and accrue 3.25% or whatever their rate is now... Just a thought...
