If you're working the event, and your name gets put on a list you get free admission. If you're working the event and your name doesn't get put on a list you pay and get reimbursed. If you're crew you pay at the gate and get reimbursed. If you're a VIP or you get hooked up, but you aren't on the list you get reimbursed.
That's my understanding at least.

I've been Laura's worker bee for several years now. And we go through this every year. Summit Point charges, not NASA. They don't care who you are, you pay to get in.

She sends packets to everyone that is driving I believe. I know all of us workers get big packets for this event. I think if you are driving you don't have to pay, but you have to have proof that you are driving. That is in the paperwork she sends you. And do yourself a favor and make sure you read it.

Regardless of the day you arrive you will have to pay unless you're on the worker list to get in free, or have a pass that should be mailed to you if you've registered for the event. It's a fun event people, stop worrying about getting a "hook up" fork over a little dough, and enjoy yourselves.

does laura send this packet in the mail or do we read a bunch of sheets online in our email? my last nasa event i wasnt sent a packet, so im assuming that they do this only for hyperfest

Apparently there are big packets but I've never received one as a work, driver nor instructor. I always thought it was white whale situation-spoken of but never seen.

Paddock stickers and such. She'll probably email a lot of stuff to you as well. Like I said, there is a lot of information that needs to be given to everyone.

Ive been to hyperfest 4 (maybe 3?) years in a row, I only remember paying once, and that was me just spectating the first year. Maybe I forgot, or they forgot or something but I dont remember the other 3 years paying. Last year could have been different as I did help work friday.
