I want to put a few of those LED's under the gas tank and seat to light up my shizzle when I'm hard parking.

I'm only half kidding... I wont do it, but I think it would look cool Wink

Correct cable? Binding? Correct cable slack?

Yep, nope, adjusted according to the shop manual, it 'feels' like it operates properly.

I havent ridden it, so I'm going to hope they're just sticky from sitting in a junkyard for a long time.

I could take the clutch plates out and soak them but... I'm lazy.

I had to replace the exhaust gaskets and the clutch seems to be freeing up... carbs are sync'ed...

this week:

- Finish front brake line, fill/bleed front brake
- Wire in new voltage regulator - 'old' stuff in there now and functioning, so I know the alternator is working
- Figure something out for the rear brake
- Valve adjustment, top end is a bit noisy
- Seems to be running a bit rich, I'll need to ride it to be sure but I've got a few jet sizes
- Find a CB400F tank (the one in the pics goes on Phils bike) and have it welded
- Paint
- Ride

Valve Adjustment - I <3 pimpy tools

The PO must have adjusted the valves while the motor was hot - no wonder it ran like poo when it was cold.

did you just cut that corner out, turn it upside down, and weld it back in?

Basically, with some plates put in on the side.

750 has front brakes now - yay! Another master cylinder fixed it up.

I rode it around the neighborhood Smile

Things I still need to do... fit a throttle return spring on the carbs, have the tank lined (it leaks a little where the welding was done) and then get the tank/headlight/front fender painted.

Talk to the parts guys up at Coleman; one of them, Chris I think, knows a good rad. shop that will coat the inside of the tank for you. He's got nasty things to say about the tradtional off-the-shelf stuff.
