Help E30!

Integra wheels won't be close to fitting. The wheel will be resting on the strut. You need something around a +32mm offset in the stock 14x6.5 or around +25mm for the 15x7 koseis.
You'd be fine with redline tranny fluid.
I used brembo OE replacment rotors.

You can tell if the wheel bearings are going bad if when you are driving along you hear a whirring noise. They are probably ok on your car.

the rotors are rusted all the way through, they will probably be fine on the surface once the rust wears off but might as well get some new ones.

ahhh what a pain in the ass. we attempted the timing belt change and got about half way through. we got all the parts off leading to the main fan bolt and the lower pulley bolts and then were stuck since the one needs a 32mm wrench. we also ran out of time for the day... so it sits again (with a mess of an engine bay) for another couple weeks. stupid work :wink:

back from the past...

I need some help with my 89. It ran fine this past Saturday but on Sunday I went to start it and it was dead. I realized later I had accidentally pulled out a wire under the steering wheel that is for the ignition. After that it started to turn over but won't crank.

What I've done:

-replaced the starter and solenoid
-replaced the ignition switch
-check the battery- has a good reading
-checked voltage at the ignition coil
-put in new fuse and relay (just swapped from parts car to see if it would work)
-I pulled one spark plug and it looks "worn out" but not too bad

The only thing I did after driving it on Saturday was remove the entire power steering system and then messed around with the passenger window switches in trying to get the window to work. I'm wondering if I could have shorted somethign when I pulled the ignition wire out.

I'm planning on inspecting the distributor cap and rotor this weekend. Other than that I'm stumped. Any ideas?

Did you disconnect a ground wire to the engine when you were messing with the PS system? Is the car getting spark? Fuel?

thats a very good idea... I suppose I could have knocked something loose.

no the car isn't getting a spark... its got to be somethign electrical keeping it from sparking. fuel is ok even though the fuel gauge doesn't work and the fuel pump was replaced by Chan when he picked it up.

where its parked would be very hard to get enough space to push start it... I'll try if its a last resort this weekend.

Why would you try to push start it if its not getting spark? Don't bother.

just to see if it runs, then figure out the problem from there.
