1. there are four different camera views. two from behind the car at different angles and one from seemingly the cockpit (but doesnt show the cockpit) and one from the low bumper.
2. braking and turning in... lifting mid-corner... flooring before corner exit... all likely results from the very understeer-happy stock setup the cars come with. this can be tuned... i usually nearly double my rear springrates on every car. i'm assuming you couldn't tune the car at all?
heck, even my stock turbo II (i think ~200hp) needs throttle modulation.
3. curb hopping? gets shit way out of balance. do this and you can pretty much guarantee yourself a trip to the grass.
4. turning in with two wheels off? doesn't work for me unless i'm going crazy slow or driving something awd.
maybe the demo did have a different physics engine? i dunno, but i do know this game is far more challenging (than the competition) when you get to the really fast cars. i just got some mines skyline thing and i can't get through a race without busting it all to hell and subsequently losing.
are the physics similar to gt4? arguable.
is the sound better? by far.
damage? great.
multiplayer? oh my god.
i played gt4 for about three days and ever since it has been gathering dust. i am now on a healthy second week of forza. if you know about my gaming habits, two weeks is hall of fame caliber.

yeah, sounds like what your describing is the same. I didn't care to mention the two external (worthless) views. So you don't find when you're right on someone's bumper that you have problems seeing anything but them? I guess it's possible they moved that camera up a touch...

I really doubt it. Although it's possible there's some different tweaks to the demo, go check it out and compare for me! There were no real tuning "options" although you could pick the uber tunned version of any car. It would rice it all out for you, tighten it up and slap on a turblo usually. It still drove pretty much like GT4. Oh well, I wasn't going to bring another MS product into the home if I didn't have to anyway.
Sounds like we probably just have a difference of perception, cause I hear you say the physics are arguably similar to GT4, but also say the cars are hard to drive and require finnesse.... so... do you suck at GT4 too? :lol:
Hey, and I understand about the online play, LFS is a hoot too. Wish they could have had the same forsight with GT4. :?
the cars require a *slight* bit more finesse than in gt4, but the physics are very similar. what really makes it harder is the damage... and the non-retarded AI... not the physics. if you're looking for a diehard simulation, look elsewhere. this game tries to be fun, and if that's what you're looking for you'll be pleased.

that wheel sucks... you have to manually crank it back from a turn. the one time i used one i was sweating...

i will have to say the forza has a better game but to tell you the truth the graphics suck balls, for the first time i will say the the ps2 graphics are better, but overall forza is funner to play
i wouldn't go so far as to say the graphics suck balls, but to say they are not equal to those of gt4 would suffice.

well, I finally picked up Forza this weekend. Played it a little today. Coming from Sega GT (xBox) it rocks. Cars are much more realistic, can you say on throttle oversteer! Also braking late in a turn has bad results...just like real life  . I've only been playing the arcade mode going to start the career mode tomorrow. This game rocks.

yeah i grabbed this game a cuple weeks ago and i think it is far superior too GT4, i found the game play to be much more interesting. GT4 has gotten boring for me, maybe it is because i only have the really long races left. At any rate i almost like it better solely because you can buy and use cars withOUT saving, which you cant in GT$. That was a big turnoff for me, I liked being able to buy and test cars before i decided on which one i really wanted. for the first time i really noticed how arcady GT$ can be. i have foza coming back to the house through gamefly (which is the coolest thing ever) in a couple days so im looking forward to playing it again.
o and my inner-ricer loves being able to add bodykits and MAd tizzight grAphiXs

Sadly I had to leave it and my xbox home this semester, I'm thinkin about bringing it back to JMU after christmas, then we should have some Forza tournaments at the meetings. I grew heavily addicted to the skin program, designing all my cars....god that game rules. Whereas all the cars in GT4 sound the same, Forza has turbo spool, v8 roar, and Ferrari whine. Pure bliss
