I dunno if its totaled or not, but I'd guess it is. Just from seeing it drive by I know it needs a new front quarter panel, hood, door, rear quarter panel and support over the door, and rear bumper and possibly the hatch.
Basically the whole passenger side is fawked. I have no idea if it damaged the suspension, but judging by the looks of the car, I'd say it did.

Steve called me saturday night and said that something in the suspension is bent, but its not bad. And the body damage as Ryan said - Probably $6-8K in body work from that hit
He told me he was coming out of the chute, dropped a wheel, got loose, corrected and snap spun back the other way (tagged passenger side into the tire wall).

damage looked very similar to evan's wrx... just crumpled down the side.

Not from the pics I saw, this was a harder hit - and putting a new rear 1/4 panel on a honda is a bitch and a half, its welded on (unibody).

When I saw it come in the damage looked quite a bit more significant than Evan's wrinkled WRX.
I was told that he put two wheels off over the curb into the dirt on the inside, and from there he lost control.

nonetheless, he drove the car home, there is just body damage (and maybe a suspension tweak with RJ's new info) and the car still has the ability to be revived. If nothing else, put it off to the side and fix it over time and make it a full time track car.
dave, that's the first thing i said when i saw it... "welp, someone has them a track car."

It was already a track car since the thing was pretty much stripped as is.

i was in the stands when it happened. although i didnt actually see it happen, i saw him in the wall. he looked pretty angry and got out of his car to look at the damage. i was wondering why a corner worker wasnt yelling at him to get the hell over the wall cuz he could've gotten plastered if someone else decided to go off in 4. scary shit.

It is easy for people who havent been in an incident to say how stupid it is to get out of the car, but when you it happens, and you hit something, the last thing you want to do is stay in the car.
When I tagged the wall I got out as well.
