The Escape hadn't had much lovin' lately - and was in desperate need - so I spent a good chunk of time today on it. Looks much better now.

It got a wash, cleaned wheels and center caps (front brakes dust so bad on this), tire shine (!!), leather cleaning/conditioning, interior clean/de-dust, and polishing of the cloudy headlights.

I used Meguiar's PlastX on the headlights. Same stuff I use on my plastic rear window. It did do work on the passenger headlight (the worse of the two) but there's some more polishing to do. Driver's side was replaced a few years ago and looks far better.

Still need to fix this... common problem on these where the glue separates from the "leather" panel and it looks all droopy-like. That'll get done sometime soon. For now it looks like this:

cut work for a few because it was criminal to be inside this afternoon. Optimum No-Rinse, TurtleWax Express Wax, ArmorAll Extreme Tire shine (which is junk and I buffed most of it back off).

both cars shiny at the same time...worthy of a picture just because of rarity

Save the Manuals sticker to cover up where i backed into a longass trailer hitch. unfortunately there aren't big enough stickers to cover the remnants of other parking lot battles....f'ing atlanta.

bump for old time's sake. got things shined up a bit for fall. the sun really fell out of the sky tonight so pics aren't anything great.

Total Auto Wash then dish soap to strip wax then clayed with Mothers, P21S to top it off. Total Auto Wash, some elbow grease and brushing, and Meguiar's Natural Shine in the engine bay. Mothers Back to Black on the trim and ArmorAll Extreme Gel on the tires...trying to use them both up (not a fan).

needs a cut and polish terribly. its a 10 footer but for a subaru its pretty normal.

God, Scotty's pix make me think of how long it's been since I washed and seriously cared for either car, appearance-wise. Maybe I'll shine up the E34 this week.

Jake, this time of year its actually enjoyable to do that stuff. believe me i have been slacking too, i don't have a good time when its 95 out and i'm swatting mosquitoes.

Finally got time to wash the Mustang.... picked it up a few weeks back. 2012 V6 Premium, manual, Kona Blue with the pony package, heated seats, rear view camera, stripe delete. No project thread because it's not really a project, just a DD. I don't really have any plans for it other than to get the windows tinted and have the front 3M clear-bra'ed. On to the pics :thumbup:
