Just dropping back in to say the car is awesome. Its sexy, muscular, and highly exotic looking with a gorgeous interior, while more importantly it is entirely unique and doesn't look like anything else, ever.
Ferrari 599, what Ferrari 599? This blows it out of the water (and I've seen several in person), even in pics the LFA looks better.
Sorry, this thing looks like a car that started out with a somewhat classy design that got a tacky Veilside bodykit added to it after the fact. It's wild but it's a bit offensive too. Which I guess is better than being boring.
Supposedly the performance is more than competitive so that's good for Lexus. Might do good things for the brand and at only 500 units (per year?) they shouldn't be embarrassed by not being able to sell all of them.

I was never a fan of the earlier concepts...I'm glad they went wild with it. It is unreserved, but I have to laugh at such backlash given the boring stigma Toyota/Lexus usually gets...isn't this what people have been crying for?
As for the performance, 3.7 to 60 and 202 top end, 9,000rpm 4.8L V10 @ 560hp, but I suspect with traditional Toyota underrating. From what I've read, 500 may be the total run (no qualms with finding buyers, IMO), unless demand is there for more. In the vein of ~300-400 run Ferrari supercars I suppose, but I was expecting the more typical 2-4,000, though the price would have to come down. And as for the price, it is ridiculous, the only real fault I'd slight Lexus with. Japanese Yen conversion = ~413k US, with 375k US being the current estimate (as yet-unannounced).
Again, they haven't been realistic at that price point, IMO, given the brand image. Rumors are abound that it actually possesses Ferrari Enzo-like capabilities, and at 650k-plus, it could be construed as a relative bargain. Lexus never marketed this car as a bargain, however, a la Nissan's GTR; quite the opposite, i.e. utmost in exclusivity. We'll see how it gets on.

I'd hate it less if it had a T logo on the front instead of the L.
The only way it seems that Toyotas become worse is when they call them a Lexus and raise the price.
On the other hand, its hard to argue with 500+ horsepower. But I'm with most everyone else, better cars can be had for less cash.

VS Murcielago SV
Price- We are talking tens of thousands difference, with the Murci maybe taking the advantage (final pricing out the door is a premium over 320k)
Looks- Um Murci all the way
Power- Murci all the way
Handling- Cant compare for now.
Brand- Lambo vs Lexus, wtf would you choose?
Which would I rather have? DUH
2020 Ford Raptor
2009 Z06
1986.5 Porsche 928S
I really like the car. It's unique, that interior is BEAUTIFUL too, the seats are a work of art.
This is one of those cars that I feel like most of the buyers are not going to cross-shop with other brands. It's a collector car, you buy something like this to ADD to your collection of Murci's and 599GTBs. If I had the means I would get one just to say I had it, you're not going to see many of these on the road. Lambos get confused for other Lambos, this is a one of a kind car.

:evileye: wtf are you comparing it with a car that's twice the price? :dunno: Did I miss something?
Anyway, the LFA looks pretty good IMHO, and I'd agree with Goodspeed, maybe better than the 599, definitely from the front. (And again, why are we comparing it to another car that's twice the price?) I'd just rather have a 911. It's similar performance numbers for less $, and the looks and interior are pretty hard to hate. BTW, both the 911 and the LFA should walk an R8. :bootyshake: Maybe the R8 could win a supercar rallycross though.
*edit* wait, I just saw another article that said this LFA was $400k. If THAT's true, then yeah, it's retarded. Is it $170k or $400k? Minor details?.....

Yeah, I wouldnt compare it to murci SV if it wasnt in the same price bracket, but somebody said thats what it would be at. If its at the 170k, id still personally take a 911...and im not a big porsche fan.

I can't imagine why I even care, if it's 100k+, it's not like I'll ever buy one, it might as well be ONE MEELLION DOLLARS
Porsche has a supercar for 130k. Want something more brutal for even less money? Corvette ZR1. Anything more than that better have 1000+ HP or have some futuristic, dilithium crystal hybrid drivetrain, weigh significantly less, or be made of some unnecessarily exotic materials, like carbon fiber woven from unicorn horns and/or kryptonite. Or it better have unquestionable beauty and cause world peace. Otherwise, it's just a money wasting project to give your marketing guys and engineers some practice, because you aren't even trying to compete.
I'll just shut up, continue the fapping and/or hating
