Show up regardless as far as I know.

What sexier than a bunch of clean cars?

A bunch of clean cars dripping wet. Smile

I had a great day today... the weather was kinda hit-or-miss (more "miss" this morning for sure) but it was fairly clear for the show. I think it scared off a lot of the classic car guys though. Nevertheless we had a pretty good turnout for it being sketchy weather and the first time doing such an event at Bob Wade. BIG thanks to Ryan, then Brad and Scott and everyone else at B.W. who made things happen.

Another thing that I really wasn't expecting was to be handed the keys to an 8-mile-old WRX and told to take it out but not do anything stupid. Scott was incredibly trusting of myself and all the other MMers he gave keys to. No salespeople came with us on the drives and that says a lot about how the club presents itself. So, thanks to everyone for keeping our image clean and honest.

Anyway, once the test drives started they didn't stop. I drove (in order) the WRX, a Legacy 2.5GT, a Lincoln MKT, MKS, and MKZ, a used Civic Si, and used Mini Cooper. I know Steve and a few others got to take drives too and were able to roll around in as many vehicles.

I took a few pix, was busy driving or chatting to really take much more. Talked with a cool guy who brought out a 1951 Ford Victoria(?) and he explained the restoration process and how some things worked back in the day. Cool to get his perspective.

I had a great time today. I really wasn't expecting Scott to be so trusting of his cars with us. He gave me 3 sets of keys at once (the 3 lincolns) and said "have fun!" There were some awesome cars there. I test drove (in order), the WRX, the Civic Si, the MKS/MKZ/MKT, a new Legacy sedan, new Outback wagon and the Mini Cooper. I gotta say, that WRX was awesome, as was the Si even though it was beat like a disobedient wife.

Goodspeed, I'm so jealous you got a ride in that monster.
