I hope you didn't have to read any of them to figure that out Wink

We should buy this book! She sounds amazingly smart!

"Here's what I found out...
Swoopo is a new type of shopping site."

"How does Swoopo do it? ÔÇô Some of these prices are crazy. Find out how Swoopo can afford to give away stuff for 80% - 90% off what it would cost them. "

The bidding advice on the website is pretty awesome too.

My buddy and I bought 50 bids worth. It seems to be pretty much luck as to what price you win stuff at. I saw a laptop go for $38. We've only bid once but some night here coming up we'll see if we can win anything.

i'd just pick the higher priced items then - they're still likely to be a bargain, but at least you wouldn't have to be one of the suckers to get it to that price

So...being absolutely bored at work today, I was checking around on here for some TVs and computer stuff for sale, just to see what they had. Then i started to notice it was a lot of the same people winning auctions, or at least bidding on multiple things at a time..including the "vouchers" for bids. Is that the scam going on here? Someone buys a bunch of bids, then bids on more bids, paying less and less, effectively, until they have accumulated lets say 1000 bids...which they can then use to scare off people? I'm just wondering because I noticed a laptop go for $62, but the winner had bid 1100 times..which was about the same cost as the laptop.....

no, you've discovered nothing special... we concluded that this was a waste of time a long time ago.
