It's official - my rate went from $4100 with GEICO to $1500 with Progressive.
I'm listed as an "IMPREZA OTHER", which I guess includes the WRX/WRX STi? I feel like I'm getting lucky with that - I would think my rate would be higher than it is. But they have my VIN right, so my ass should be completely covered.

So 15 minutes saved you 65% with the other guy? No chance that ever shows up on the commercials.
My car is listed as a Legacy 2.5, the other options being 3.0 and Outback, and that's probably why my rate was 25% cheaper than the S4. As long as disclosed what the actual model was when you spoke to them, it shouldn't be a problem.

Haha yeah I was saying the same thing...I saved -273% by switching to Geico.
Yep, explicitely disclosed the model in my first phone call and verified my VIN this time. And I have a picture of an STi when I log into their website so...good to go.

Maybe I should call progressive too :dunno:
I had them many years ago... and then geico was cheaper through NFCU... and then state farm was cheaper... but the service I have with state farm is awesome, so... :dunno: And because chris hates it :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

It's all completely arbitrary. I think everyone is different when you're shopping around for rates. Allstate was the lowest for me after using Progressive for a longggg time (Allstate has great customer service from my experience btw). The ONLY reason I went with LM's insurance is that they gave me a further discount, which is discounted even further with a homeowner's policy.

Hell I had 2 cars and a house on the same policy, and they still gave it to me. I think for that and my SS it was 130$/month in virginia, and went to like 170 in WV edit: And you may have gotten away with it saying "spec B" isntead of "GT." I do specifically remember someone mentioning the name
