Oh and that's a pretty cool car, I just know nothing about it.

Is that an old Dodge Dart? pretty cool and unique, the front end definitely looks different from other Darts I've seen (if it is one). What exactly was done by Barris and whats its connection to the Batmobile?
Here is what makes the car unique, other than being a rare '68 Dart GTS convertible.
http://www.jmannix.net/cars.htm
My car is the '68 Dart GTS, with the 383, that was customized by George Barris. He did the paint (car was originally red), the twin functional hood scoops, gas cap, wheels, grill, and the rear tail spoiler. I need to redo the grill to how it was in the show, and I bought another grill on Ebay to that that with. Nothing electrical worked when I got it, but it does run. The motor was rebuilt 15 years ago and only has gotten about 50 miles on it since. I need to do some adjusting to make it smooth, but it has some amazing power

My car (the grill is not the Barris grill, but I have the orginal brackets for the Barris added lights and a second Dart grill to do the change over with):

Sick dude! That's definitely cooler than a teal tractor trailer.
Any clue how much power those engines put down in good health? Were any performance modifications made to it during the rebuild?

For those who are noobs to oldschool detective shows, the picture of the guy I posted earlier is Mannix. In a strange coincidence, there is an article about him and the show in the Washington Post today...weird. I spoiled this thread early on by following the direct back to photobucket. lol

I was told it has a "mild" cam in it. As for HP, original specs rated it at 345hp at the crank. It will be interesting to see what it does once I tune it and do a proper break in on the motor

My Dad and I are no strangers to the old detective shows. He actually owns the Volvo that was used in the Saint w/ Roger Moore. Plus we are thinking about adding this to the collection:

Without a doubt. I think it is a crime to let a car just sit.

Anytime (after March of course, most of the cars have been "winterized")
