I got a black Vega size M. PM for price. It is a motorcycle helmet, but should perform fine for an autox.

Argh! Couldn't bring myself to buy a pimpy new helmet, so I got these instead in Black/XL:
I probably won't be able to resist OG being less than a 1-minute drive from work and will end up buying 1 of everything they have...

Aggh, You got those gloves? I seriously was thinking of the RaceCat shoes but they don't have them in my color (blue) and my size (euro 45 or 46).
I'm thinking of a pair of sparco mechanics gloves cause I'm sick of cutting up my hands. I also just got a new tool set from craftsman because I broke/lost all my cheap ones. -T

Way too much padding on the OMPs, couldnt feel the steering wheel. btw, shoes make a huge difference in driving. You will wonder how you ever drove in sneakers!

I rock Samba Top Salas, so yeah, how do they compare to motorsport specific shoes?

Sambas or something similar, like a Puma, are pretty much the best regular shoe you could have for driving, very common to see people rocking them.
Wrestling shoes are an even better alternative.

i love my alpinestars f1-r's... its very comfortable and a great feel on the pedals. before, i was using a pair of vans, which i really like because they're really wide which made it easy to heel-toe.
