 whatever....

The point is, that if you have the means to get something like a 911, then why not get something thats just as entertaining to drive and pursue some motorsport stuff.... instead of posersports.

I will give you that. But I am not sure his mentality is to track his car, no matter what he chooses. Obviously a Miata is less of a liability, and great to learn driving mechanics, but I don't think Aaron is going to track his next purchase.

please don't say he was gonna look at XKRs. we need to get him into a sports car

I recommended them, actually.

Put aside the "OMG It's an AUTO" for a minute and just look at the thing:

If you don't get a boner looking at that, you're not a man. It's beautiful. Sublime. Not really my thing, but totally sweet. Add a supercharged V8 for less than I paid for my Mazda and put Aaron in the driver's seat.

Look, it's his car to buy and drive and if he wants a 911, groovy. But I would applaud an XKR and ask for a drive.

I used to park by one when I visted my mom at work. A Doctor drives it, leaves the top down 24X7. I parked my Sebring beside it and had a woman ask what year my car was, I told her 96. She looks at me kinda puzzled and says "I thought yours was the newer Jag, but thats older then I though." I had to tell her MY car was not a Jag, but a Chrysler, the other one however was what she suspected.

If the Jag were available in a stick, I'd totally have one. As it stands, shit, I'd nearly buy one as is if I wanted some great pimpy cruiser.

Besides, not everyone wants to buy a DD + Miata. I could have bought a Kia Rio and a nice Miata instead of the MS3...just like Aaron could buy a <whatever> + Miata or a 911.

I admit, I just wanted someone to have some kind of European GT car in MM. That's all. Nobody has one, and nobody is going to get one but Aaron. Sad
