parents plan?
Oh besides that. I am completely independent, but my Geico premium has gone down every 6 months. Once I get the Geico paperwork I will give State Farm a call.

I saved a good deal of money by switching to geico from progressive. My rates have also been decreasing every 6 months... except this period. Went up $9/mo. I'm guessing from the minor tickets I'm racking up.
Fuck State Farm man! I got a letter in the mail today saying they're cancelling my policy already because of my driving record... what the fuck?? They knew my driving record when I signed up and did everything accordingly.... I guess things change when it goes to their processing department?
What's funny is, out of 4 total tickets, 3 of them are over 2 years old. 2 of them are almost 3 years old. Spare me, I understand that insurance companies run off of numbers, but it would have been nice to know upfront so I didn't have to cancel my fucking policy with Progressive.

Allstate it is! All said and done I saved a little over $888 per year with them. And it looks like they aren't going to dump me after 2 weeks ha ha
As long as I stay accident / ticket free, my premium will drop by $70 every 6 months.

With Progressive it was $3780 per year.
By October of this year I'll have two tickets off of my record (4 total), both from 2004. The last one in October was a big one I think....81 in a 65 which is reckless. So my 6 month premium should drop significantly after that leaves my record (and another one sooner in July). And of course when I sell my STi =)

I would probably drive uninsured for $3780

I just got my paperwork in the mail today for my next 6 month premium. I found out that the being 25 doesn't go into affect until the premium after my birthday, so its January 2008.
From July07 to Jan08 its 589.50$. A rough estimate for January drops the 6 month premium by 110$.

Thats wack. When I turned 25 state farm sent me a refund check. I didn't even have to ask.
Just called State Farm. Why do they need my parent's and brother's license number to get me an accurate quote? Kinda odd. In case of an emergency, they needed that info. Why would they need my parent's information?

So that they know who's in the house with you who might need to drive your car if there's an emergency. Sometimes it's actually beneficial to add your parents to your own personal policy. My mom's driving record was good, so I added her as a driver for just the STi and it dropped my monthly premium by about 12 bucks.

My brother has an at fault accident when he was 17 that is expunged in January 2008. So in that case, I would suppose it would be detrimental.

Yeah, you don't have to physically add him to the policy, but the insurance company would probably want to know if he's living in the house with you just in case of an emergency. I'm pretty sure it won't affect your rates unless you add him.

W00t, Allstate sent my renewal and my monthly premium went down by over $30! They have so many discounts it's ridiculous. I'll probably do my homeowner's insurance through them also so that I get an even lower rate =)
