i knew it was there, but i thought it had black wheels
it's a race-bike-in-the-works
looks more like a crashed bike to-be turned into a race bike...

if I'm not mistaken he bought it from Dave (kidcycle off dcsportbikes.net), which means it's a salvaged bike. Dave supplements his normal income by buying salvaged bikes, getting them fixed up, and then reselling them. Only problem is there's never a guarantee that the important parts are straight (like the frame) because they're just eyeballed for damage and tweaks.
from what i heard he mearsures one side of the frame with string and then hopes he other side is the same length. that is the best test for frame straightness with out the proper equipment

You mean without accounting for all the human variables that can go wrong with it?
Or without riding the bike?

:?: i was just stating his way of checking the straightness of the frame. I have no clue on the proper way to check the straightness of a frame.

You said that the string was the best way without the proper equipment... I'm just saying it sounds pretty flawed for being 'best' of the shadetree.

after looking at the welds on that frame... i couldnt buy a suzuki. they must have 2-3 different PEOPLE welding them... one guy pushes a bead, the other zigs the bead, and runs figure 8s... and only the zigs/stiches look good... the rest blows (litterally in some cases!) with all the bikes they sell you would figure they could afford a machine to weld the frames for them!

Funny, I've noticed the EXACT same thing. That's why I stick with Hondas, Yamahas and, believe it or not, Triumphs.
