not even the strawberry ones? It's probably been almost 10 years since I've had one, maybe I wasn't sure of myself back then :-)

I didn't even think Pop Tarts counted as pastries.

The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. Strudels are awesome, not to mention a tad bit healthier than poptarts.

what about the fruit pastries you can get at convenience stores. The ones in the waxy paper bags, 2 colors, and nutritional info will give you a heart palpitation. Those things are money, it's just a shame one of them is your caloric and fat intake for the month.

German imperialists, notice strudel and not apple pie.

Also, toaster pastries and healthy should never be in the same sentence.

I'm with Maeng on this one guys. I love my breakfast heavy and unhealthy. For the record, whenever we are in H'burg, Rex's dad fixes this almost exact breakfast for me. I'm the only one that will eat it with him, so he almost always fixes me a plate.

instant oatmeal (or grits) and coffee starts my morning. i really dislike putting unnecessary sugars in my body... seriously, it makes me squirm to eat junk. pop tarts are like 98% sugars.

+1

...but I do love me a nice Irish breakfast. You have to have time to sleep off the resulting coma though.

That's like saying you hate all Italian food... it just doesn't make sense. Surely there are things you dislike about it but can you really say you hate all Irish food absolutely?

Strudels are still better than poptarts, but I don't usually eat them for breakfast. On days that I work out I usually go to Dhall afterwards and have a few omelets, fruit and a big bowl of cottage cheese. On off days I usually go for a few glasses of OJ/Milk and a big bowl of cereal.

have you tried making oatmeal from the large canisters of rolled oats, like Quaker brand stuff? its much less sweet than instant and it tastes alot "heartier" to me. really filling stuff.

for me, cooking a fat rack of bacon, then frying up 2 eggs in the leftover grease with a side of well done hashbrowns is unstoppable. too bad i have to inject my heart with adrenaline to stay alive afterwards.

This is a whole new ball game here. I thought we were talking bout breakfast to go, a la working man's morning go-juice. If we want to make this into a Saturday morning breakFEAST, then it's on! I'll take an omelette with ham, cheese, onions, and green peppers, then I'll take some fried potatoes, some biscuits w/ sausage gravy, 2 strips of bacon, some sausage links, and a big glass each of milk and apple juice.
