as reed said, get the sport wheels. other than that, awesome buy. i'm curious to see how a highish mileage 540 holds up... that was my only worry when i was shopping, it was kind of an unknown. oh, and the gas mileage.

I am in love with that car! I was looking all over for those for a while. As far as high mileage, my buddy has 220k miles on his. He just keeps up on maintenance. They will last so long as you take care of it, and from the pics it looks like a mint car!

FWIW, when I got OEM euros for my E36 it took me 3-4 inspections to find a place to overlook that they weren't stamped DOT. Maybe I just have bad luck but it was a pain in the ass... and since the wiring harness had to be spliced into line (not plug and play) it wasn't like I could just swap 'em back for the inspection.

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth |
