Short update: After about 30 hours in transit we arrived at our hostel in Kyoto. A bit further away from Suzuka than we would`ve liked but the train is so fast is not really that bad. The first time a Shinkansen blew by at full speed the shockwave startled us pretty good Confused

Suzuka Circuit is absolutely incredibly! Its a huge facility with a bowling alley, several good sized circus rides, and lots of other neat stuff. You truly can`t get a feel for how majestic the track is on TV. From the turn coming onto the front straight you can look over the circuit and see the ocean.

The cars...oof. A tremendous and shrill symphony of the gods is upon you when the F1 cars go by. However, I must say that the GP bikes sound better.

From my seat at F2 I can see T1, through the Suzuka Esses. For those that know the track, the F1 cars don`t brake until right as they`re going into turn 1. It seems almost as if they only just trailbrake a little bit to get the car turned in.

The incredible thing about the F1 cars isn`t the acceleration, it`s that they don`t really slow down! Kind of odd to get your head around.

Man I don`t have enough yen for all this cool swag but I`m buying what I can Smile

All of the F1 stuff has the full tobacco livery btw.
