Chris swears that he's just as big a douche in person as he is online. I think we all know that's not true (fortunately for the rest of the world)

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth
Congrats on making it through the day without dying -
now do one of two things:
1) Ditch that F4 and buy a better bike, preferably not another bloated Honda
2) replace those rear sets because they'll just cause you to crash when you're dragging them on the ground (which you're not supposed to be doing). The only reason that exhaust didn't hit is because it's aftermarket. If the exhaust had been stock and dragged (which would have happened before the pegs on your bike) you would have crashed. Your only saving grace so far is that the pegs hinge, whereas your exhaust would have just dragged and then put you in the air.
why shouldn't you drag the rear sets? ust seems like more of a lean to me... is too much lean bad?

I would be very worried about one catching and upsetting the balance of the bike.
Dragging pegs is a good way to high center the bike and low-side. You're basically creating a lever that reduces the the weight on the rear wheel which reduces your traction. Reducing traction while you're cornering at high speed = crash.

but it doesn't mean you're leaning too far, right? it means you should get rid of the damned pegs?

Aftermarket rearsets will move the the pegs 1" back and 1" up, which provides more ground clearance and can help your form out as well.
The downside to that is generally the pegs arent hinged, so if you start to drag one, you're more likely to high-center it.
