old job had a 1 hr commute in the am, and over an hour in the afternoon commute. Hours for old job ranged from 50 -95 per week.
new job has 10 minute commute not sure how hours are going to be, but probably not horrendous.
Work is however long it takes to get the job done. Usually 9-7
i realized this morning that i subconsciously have all the potholes memorized on my commute. i was kind of looking down at the radio to switch channels and when i was done i realized i had swerved around 2 potholes without thinking about it
its also kind of weird in that i see the same people in the same cars every morning driving with me towards the city. i wonder how long it will be til we're waving at each other or something.

yeah, a bunch of us go to a soccer field a few miles away and play ultimate football (think ultimate frisbee except replace the gay hippiness of a frisbee with the fun of a football) during lunch on tues and thurs
its the best break in the work day evAr!

Kids are great....
They are work but it is worth it in so many ways. It is hard to understand until you have your own. Rental kids don't count the same.
