If I fill up the Z with 18 gallons, you do the math. At least gas is cheaper in Arlington than it is anywhere else in NoVA. Now that my commute is 15 miles round-trip, I only have to fill up the WRX every three weeks... I'm saving about $150-200 in gas and about 40 hours per month of sanity by living closer to civilization again.

Oh, and for the record, gas prices are the exact same as they are in San Francisco.

I got a Chase PerfectCard that gives me 6% rebates on gas purchases. I attached a Mobil speedpass to it to give myself another 5 cents off per gallon. Just an idea

I usually fill up once every few weeks, and it costs me about 24-28 dollars for a full tank :wink: . Ive filled up three times in the last week because ive been driving up and down from Nova and Vtech. Still though, I usually fill up on empty (meaning I have 2-3 gallons left because the gas gauge is so innacurate) with about 300-350 miles already driven.

Fill up today. There are rumors flying around that the hurricane has shut down several refineries and gas prices will jump tomorrow.

heard the same thing, they evacuated the refineries in the gulf until the storm has made it inland. I think .05 to .08 jump.... :?

I also heard since the storm was a little to the east New Orleans missed most of the devastation, mostly flooding will be the problem however.

Filled up this morning with regular $47.50. On the bright side I'm up to getting about 15 mpg city, 18 highway. Man I need to ditch the BGWT for something that's easier on gas.

Sebring takes $36ish from empty on midgrade
Daytona takes $40ish on premium

The Garage's C-30 Chevy uses $15 worth of gas in one trip to the landfill. That is about a 10mile run. lol... 454 + 4-speed + lead foot = less then 1mpg.

In the past month I have spent well over $200 on gas (just looked at credit card statement.) Avg fill is between $37 and $40.
Why do people just post what they are thinking? Without thinking.

Did gas really go up $.25-$.30 last night?

Oh yeah and 1 September is the day that people aren't supposed to get gas, I heard it on the radio this morning. Who is going to not buy gas tomorrow?

don't be stupid: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/nogas.asp">http://www.snopes.com/politics/gasoline/nogas.asp</a><!-- m -->

cliff's notes: unless you're boycotting the use of your vehicle, you're still using gas. the oil companies are not going to feel a difference between you buying your gas tomorrow as opposed to today... your money is still going in their pockets.
