The engien and ecu have yet to come in the mail. I'll update with pics and details when it does. I meant to mention that, haha.

coilovers and entry fees. stop with the motor for now, it has plenty power.

Seat time is a given.

That list is somewhat misleading, as you might assume I have a stock suspension. I have hypercoils, but they are non coilovers. They are 300 up front, 200 in the rear, and a one inch drop all around, mounted on AGX struts. I want to upgrade to the progress, at some point, but they are a bit expensive (1500), plus camber plates and pillowball mounts. I'm leaning towards getting an oil cooler next.

Oh wait, they dont make anything for the SE-R unless you go custom inserts (8611).

oh oh you have agx and some stiffer/lower springs then don't go that route. i'd say brakes should be next! now that my brakes are done i kick myself for not doing them sooner.

Mike Kojima is coming out with an amazing kick ass setup using 8611's, but its just to much money for me and to much strut to use on a street car.

You can also shorten reds and yellows, just gotta know a few tricks Wink.

Lol, once again I have something done that I didnt list. I have larger front brakes. They are off of the NX2000. I still want to upgrade to something larger, especially after I get the car to over 200 whp, but my current brakes will hold up for now.

You wont need anything larger...... get good pads/fluid and ducting if neccessary.

he says that now, but you should have seen him drooling at my front rotors last night.

Do you know what size the NX2000 brakes are? I think they will be adequate with proper pads and fluid for track use at the currrent power levels and beyond.

I forget the exact dimensions(I looked into all that stuff when I almost bought an SE-R) but they are still pretty small.

I dont get you honda guys, you would rather burn up brake pads, kill wheel bearings, and every bit of rubber in the suspension rather than upgrade the brake size.
These fwd econoshitboxes barely have enough brake (and thats generous...) for stock horsepower. Pump up the power and you are exceeding the systems safe capacity.

200whp is a lot of power. enough to really get moving on the straights.

Its just not cost effective.

Rotors and pads (that still last 4-5 weekends/set), and balljoint boots and a drivers side wheel bearing once a year are still relatively cheap. Compare that to the cost of a $1500 brembo/stoptech/movit/etc brake kit - sure maybe you extend the life of your pads a little, and the life of the rotors 3x (at a higher replacement cost).

The NX2000 stuff is 10.1", 26mm thick and dual piston front calipers (better pad wear). For comparison my Hype-R rotors were 11.1" x 23mm thick - sure I went through 4 or 5 sets last year, but at $46/set it wasnt breaking the bank.

Here is a comparison of stock se-r rotors v nx2k rotors

Its actually suprising to find people that know what that is outside of an se-r specific forum.

Rotor dimensions are:

NX2K: 257mmX26mm
SE-R: 250mmX18mm

The caliper is still single piston, not dual. The piston is a couple mm larger in diameter.

I suppose I'll get them until I can fade them, then I'll get the 11" fastbrakes kit.

I'm still thinking an oil cooler would make a good next mod.

What are your oil temps? If you're using synthetic and not pegging them over 280 on track then I wouldnt worry too much.

I'll let you know when I connect the gauge.

Its pretty well documented that the VE's run high oil temps and that a cooler is needed.
