nope, the civic suits me just fine for track purposes. i have other ideas for a track car, but i have enough in to this car (wrenching time, parts, time spent finding it) that it'd be hard to part with right now.

as for a street car? looking at e36 m3, 2.5RS, and a few other things.

making "lots more money" != need to waste it all on a fancy shmancy car. saving for a house, retirement, etc isn't cheap. i could "afford" some pretty sick shit, but the rest of my life would be penny-pinching. i'd rather have a decent car and live like a balla

I do agree with that. I would never buy something new and take that hit. Retirement is important and I'm assuming you're saving for the down payment for your house. I'm thinking about buying a slum townhouse instead of renting for 3 years to make some money. Real estate is an amazing investment if you can do it, and do it right.

yup. if i could buy a house right now i would... rent = money in the trash. a lot of times a mortgage doesn't cost much more than monthly rent... argh! but down payment is killer! argh!

Exactly, and as long as you can make the monthly payment. The more expensive the house, the more you are actually saving by creating equity.

funny story, one of my finance-major friends (who just graduated with me) was telling me his "millionaire plan." at the rate he is saving and assuming a decent annual salary increase he will have ONE MILLION DOLLARS by the time he is 62... lol, some people just don't get it. with all the work you cob majors do i would have assumed you'd have learned more about "finance" than a cs major!?

I tried that one...dady was rich but the girl is still a bitch (and spent my money too) Dinner could be anywhere from $40 to $100 for the two of us. It was freakin' rediculus. But.....she was hott so...yeah...I got what I paid for.
