quit wasting your time. Verizon. Best coverage, good prices, replaced my $20 phone for free a day after warantee expired when I *ahem* went "swimming" with it. Jess and I use them instead of a land line, calls to eachother are free, calls to other Verizon cst are free, weekend, night calls are free... we share 400min a month and only one month were we careless enough to go over that.
bahahaha i remember when you went swimming.

Pretty happy with Alltel here.. $80/month for two phones - we don't have a land line at all, and we get coverage out here in the boonies. IIRC, Alltel roams (no cost w/ our plan) on Verizon's network. Only place I ever paid roaming was on top of Snowshoe mountain...

verizon's customer service makes me as angry as sprint's did. thats a shame too because verizon is a really good company except in charlottesville...

Ditto.
Verizon had great service, poor customer service when I had it. Now I have Sprint, poor service and poor customer service. Lousy tradeoff, huh?

You always seem to get the idiots when you call. I honestly always get great customer service when I call. Switch plans just fine, switch billing periods just fine, switch over to discounted plan due to my employer just fine. Only problem I've ever had with them is when I decided to get my new phone and I was on month 13 of the 14th month requirement in order to get the mail in rebate on the phone. We won't even discuss the fact that new customers got instant rebate for $50 more than I would have.
I second the Verizon. I've used it for about two years, and was actually going to change providers simply because Verizon didn't really have any good plans that stuck out at me. Until they did the nationwide In-Network thing that BLINGMW is talking about. It's pretty money. The one thing that is the sucks is if you have to go to the Verizon store in Sterling. MAN is that GAY waiting for 2 hours to get to talk to a customer service person.
Good coverage, good plans (now... especially if you have other people you talk to a lot that have Verizon), and I just got one of their top of the line phones for free because I'd been with them so long!

If your agreement is coming to an end, call them and ask to cancel your service. Then they start pleading with you to stay, and that's when the good deals on phones/plans are made available (at least in my experience).

I was with them for like 2 years, and was still using the very first color screen flip phone they came out with heh ! I got like $150 off the new phone plus a $75 mail in rebate... or something like that. I'd definitely talk to them and see what they have to offer, I'm sure you could get a similar deal.

Fuck those cock-gobbling assholes, every single rep I spoke to should be drug out into the street and beaten until they can only be recognized by dental records.
My phone wasnt on backorder. It wasnt shipped because the fucking rebate forms that are supposed to go with the phone are on backorder. I had to waste nearly 3 hrs on the phone today. Fucking shit. What a fucking circle jerk.
I will have my phone by friday. I'm going to call back and try to get my mail-in-rebate effective yesterday when I calm down.

I also have a question.
I only pay $20 a month with cingular, since im on a family plan -_-
But
I get raped everymonth for roaming. Apparently harrisonburg is roaming for me. Bastards
Last month I got charged an extra $40 just for roaming. So im now looking for a plan that covers both harrisonburg and NOVA. These exist right? Im not just looking in vain....
I might just take cingular up on a new plan for $40 a month with free long distance/roaming...and nice phone for free =-)
