I'm also nearby with a spare bedroom and a couch for anyone that wants to crash the night.

I'm out. A friend I haven't seen in four years is coming up from Winston-Salem. I hope Turducken is a blast for all who make it.

I'm ordering The Bird™ today

.RJ Wrote:I'm ordering The Bird™ today WOOT! I already grabbed the keg, and still have about 1.5 gallons of "moonshine". If you are expecting a drink, bring it. I will do my best to anticipate what people want to drink, but I do not have a fully stocked bar yet.

Turns out I don't have to work! So I can make it. If you need someone to drive people up, let me know.

DJ is it cool if me and Lillie stay there? Also I'm trying to convince Chris Lu to come up and maybe bring a girl. If he isn't going to then I will have two seats to head up in.

We'll be leaving a little later in the day, as we won't be going to the Auto show. We have 1 seat available for ride along, but you gotta be cool with sharing the back seat with a 60#, Rottie/lab mix. Also, if people want to carpool up and follow us, that's completely doable too. We should know by Thursday, what time we are planning on leaving on Saturday. Also, we won't be staying really late at Turducken as we have other obligations on Sunday, and need to get home at a decent time.

I was think noon or a little later. Also DJ are puppies allowed? I would like to bring Lillie's dog up (tiny chuggle) if no one cares.

Sure, I cant promise luxurious accomodations but a couch is fair game (we have 6 couches and tons of floor space if you want to bring an air mattress.) I do have one queen air mattress as well. As for dogs, the dog really has to be trained to go outside. Not looking to clean up #1 and #2s constantly. I dont want everyone bringing their dogs, I really only know one that might be coming (Diesel) and he is good. Another dog would not be a problem as long as they are trained. Remember, doors will be open and closing with people who may not be attentive. My dog will be out with everyone the first part of the night, but most likely will be locked upstairs in my bedroom when I start getting too distracted to pay attention.

What about the dog, any care, or should I leave her at home?

^^ Just edited my post. Sounded harsh, you are more than welcome to bring her, and I know Bailey would love the company. Just gotta make sure she is trained.

She's trained, but sometimes has accidents when she gets excited (only 5 months old). I may just end up leaving her at home. It seems like it might be too much of a hassle even though she does love playing with big dogs.

I'm actually trying to get there early enough to take him over to the Dog park to let him play a good bit too. Let him work out some of his excitement. As I said, we won't be staying really late, and for the reason that DJ mentioned too. When too many people get there, Diesel will need to head home, as he'll be too overstimulated, and a pain in the ass.

Julie, I dont know when you plan on coming; but please let me know. We have the largest dog park in the area almost across the street from my house. We can take them over to get tired. Diesel and Bailey are very well behaved, you are more than welcome to leave Diesel with Bailey upstairs in my bedroom for a little bit before you go. You are more than welcome to keep the pup in my bathroom to keep her from getting overexcited. I dont mind cleaning up bathroom, just carpet and hardwood and where people will be stepping all the time turns into a mess.

I am planning on coming via the carpool at campus. Is anybody heading back from the Turduken to Harrisonburg in the evening that I could hitch a ride with?
