i would go for something between -1 and max, which is about -1.5. the key is to set your toe-in to 0, its not the camber that wears your tires as much as it is the toe.
i have 10k miles on my falkens and the inside edge is barely worn more than the outside with -1.5 and 0 toe. keep in mind though my tires are 300 treadwear, yours may be less.

My car loves 0 toe, maybe .25 around. With -2 camber rear 1.5 front and as much caster as I can get out of the bitch. Wears perfectly evenly.

the ass at the shop where I got my new tires and car aligned said he couldnt adjust my front camber because of the stock camber bolts. If they had been way off, I would've been pissed but they ended up being -1.2 on each side so I didn't really mind. I had asked for -1.5 since our cars are so camber challenged but since I daily it, its really not bad. My toe was waaaaaaaaaay out of whack and my old tires really showed it. Now that I zeroed out the toe, it drives perfectly straight and the new tires are so quiet now that they aren't messed up.

i'm sending out my run of Pennzoil Platinum 5W-30 today to Blackstone for analysis, i'm anxious to see how it does. i used it for just over 6,000 miles, hoping the analysis shows that i can run it for over 8.
i like this oil alot so far. all of the used oil reports i've read from people who use this in their cars shows great wear. it's cheap, available everywhere, and has a good additive package. i use it in the xterra as well and the blackstone report for it showed very low wear and good additive left after 4,000 miles (i change it so early because we only put about 5k a year on it and it's mostly short trips).
i'll post up the PDF when i get it back from them.

argh! got my auto-x results back.
15/21 in STS
106/174 PAX overall
132/174 raw overall
the hondas romped my face off in STS, they are my target now! i can't really drop much in the way of weight so it's tire pressures and more seat time for me. on the flip side, i do like see that i beat a MS3, S2k and an Elise in raw time 8)
here is a good in-car of the course from an MR2:

Looks good Scotty. I miss the days of screeching tires around even mild corner cones. I hope to get back out there soon. Did you ever figure out what you were going to do with the suspension (struts specifically?)
thanks guys...

got my blackstone oil report back and things look great. i think the knowledge gained is money well spent considering the education it provides and the money i can save by extending my oil change intervals further. i'll post the PDF tommorow if i get the chance.
edit: added
metals look fine and i'm really impressed with the fact that the shearing is so minimal (sus and cst visc) considering the length of use, midsummer heat and the fact that i drive aggressively pretty often.
silicon is low which means my air filter is in good shape and lack of much fuel dilution is expected considering the car doesn't idle much at startup.

did a little better this time, 7/17 in STS, 108/158 RAW and 78/158 PAX. course was FAST and lots of sweepers. since the corners were often steady-state and not point-n-squirt i found that my main battle is still lack of front grip.
i think the next suspension mod will either be camber plates or front bar. i can get rotation, its just that as soon as i rotate the front washes back out again. tire pressures seemed good at 40/40 with no excessive sidewall destruction.
got a ride in a '96 Hennessey Venom 600 on r-comps, a C5 Z06 on penskes and r-comps, and a bone-stock '07 350z track. the viper was exactly like has been described in the past...huge in every way and not sophisticated at all. the guy driving was very green and drove it with his left hand holding onto the quarter window pane and his right on the top of the wheel  he was cool though. sounded incredible.
the Z06 was breathtaking. i've never ever felt g-forces like that before. acceleration literally gave me the sensation of going over a hill on a roller coaster where your guts move upwards in your ribcage and you get that nauseous feeling. cornering might as well have been limitless. the guy was driving a perfect line and ended up with a top 5 RAW not far off the run we went on.
the Z was surprisingly slow but the cornering felt really tied down for a car with that power. really seemed to like being pitched in under really heavy braking.
rawr i'm a viper!

doesn't really involve my car, but i had a chance to rip apart an STi limited yesterday, #65 as a matter of fact.
the owner and friends were taking off valuable parts before it goes to the scrap yard and i offered my help. it had a GT35R, open dump, titanium exhaust, perrin FMIC, sways, and A032R comps on OZ wheels among other things. the poor owner's brother was driving the thing on the street (have no idea why the r comps were mounted for that) and hit full boost on a ramp. put it sideways into the armco with less than 300 miles on the whole setup hock: the owner was....depressed.
we had 3 hours to strip it down and replace stuff with the stock parts and it was pretty cool to just go nuts on the thing. i would have loved to be a vulture but all the parts were spoken for already and we were out of time to chat it up and maybe pick a few more parts off.
all i can say is DAMN, a 35R is a bigass turbo. like scary big. you guys with that kind of power are crazy.

Hah wow... that's why I really never let anyone else drive my old car other than a few really trusted people. The 35r is a great turbo, I would have loved to see what it would have done on C16... Travis I still think you should get a retune with the good juice to see what it's got in it with that fuel setup
