Yeah that is a smoking good deal on a fantastic shotgun...for anyone in the market. To put that in perspective, I thought I got a great deal a while back when I got a refused-layaway discount (original buyer didn't pick it up) plus a $75ish mfgs rebate for mine.

If anyone has a need for standard capacity magazines in the next ooooh, I'd say 3 months, I suggest you buy them now. Nothing will happen, but they're gonna be scarce for a little bit.

I stocked up on plenty back during the first Obamapocalypse so I'm good on mags. I am not gonna lie , I was looking at bulk cases of 5.56 and green tips on ammoman this morning though.

I think I'm done with my first build. Magpul MOE SL handguard, Geissele SSA-E trigger and B5 Bravo stock added. It's feeling pretty much perfect now.
that looks so scary.
do you get PTSD when you shoot it from the explosions?

Edit: Aimpoint PRO right? Love mine but up in the air on trading it for a Burress scope with magnification. The PRO is kind of useless beyond 25 yards for precision target shooting

lol @ kuntzman.
Lee, yep that's their PRO, zero'ed at 50 yds. Still playing with it though, but love it as well
i failed to mention - that gun looks so freaking sexy. i don't know anything about these things so maybe it's a stupid build like that one kaan did long ago, but it looks great.

Maybe just sell it to me and build another one?

"Here, at last, is the cure for texting while driving. The millions of deaths which occur every year due to the iPhone’s ability to stream the Kim K/Ray-J video in 4G could all be avoided, every last one of them, if the government issued everyone a Seventies 911 and made sure they always left the house five minutes later than they’d wanted to. It would help if it could be made to rain as well. Full attention on the road. Guaranteed." -Jack Baruth

Thanks! Nothing crazy here, it's a fairly basic/budget build. I'd have to add up my receipts but well under $1k without the optic.

Yeah, I'm thinking this is going to be one of those "don't sell, just add" kinds of hobbies...

Excellent, looks very...familiar. I personally prefer vfg's to handstops, double function and all, but otherwise that's a longer clone of my 12.5" SBR.
I'd move your sling mount further towards the muzzle unless you're saving that MLOK slot for a light, and maybe add a larger charging handle. I'm a big fan of the Raptor CH, ambi is always better. I also really like the Noveske 60 degree selector, I have one on both my AR's, definitely prefer and it's a cheap upgrade.
But that's all nitpicky bullshit. Go shoot it.

Magpul makes some really aesthetically pleasing pieces, I would not really be surprised to see them diversify out further into non-firearm related design work.

LOL, when I said baby version of yours, I really meant it:
Good lord I love that stick. So much fun to choot.

This is my other blaster:
Bought this one much the way you see it. An M&P15 MOE Mid Magpul Spec Series. I put on the SL handguard, Noveske 60° selector, and ColaWarrior Geisselle SSA-E, swapped the MBUS rear sight with a "contraband" KAC (come get me, NCIS) and dropped the MOE stock in a lake to replace it with the BCM Gunfighter stock. It's ok, I got it as a gift. I'm not wild about it but it works and more importantly, has QD swivel sockets where the MOE didn't. Finally plopped a Burris 3x Prismatic on top, and put a Vortex "tuning fork" on the end. That particular flash hider is compatible with my suppressor, requires no shims, is very effective at flash reduction and is self-tightening. Oh, and like 35 dollars.
It's not quite done. I prefer the angle of the "K" series magpul grips, so I want to swap that out soon, and I tend to run VFG's, so sometime soon I'll get an MLOK VFG.
The other thing I want to get is one of the short Kinect QD MLOK rail sections to mount my flashlight to. Make it easy to swap from weapon to weapon, long as I had an MLOK handguard it's pop-pop, on off.
I'm a big fan of this particular model. It's a very simple, capable "canvas" for a beginner, with an excellent barrel and sexy billet lower, and is ready, basically, out of the box to add a sling and reflex optic and then learn what works and what doesn't. I've seen (and been that guy) too many people go right to the "build" stage and end up with an over-toleranced, too-heavy, poor handling POS that doesn't do anything well...then they get frustrated. If you start out with a quality foundation, you end up more effective all around. Just my $0.02, worth what you paid for it.

That's the same sight that I shot on my buddy's AR that I really liked due to the clarity, magnification and the ability to change reticle color (right?). About $400 retail ? I was thinking about swapping out my PRO for that, if I could do it straight up I probably would

It's a Burris AR-332. AKA, A poor-man's TA-33. It even suffers from the same "over high" mount that the TA-33 does, but is very clear glass, very compact, and very reasonable piece of kit for the price.
I paid $99 for mine, brandy new after rebate. I wish I'd bought two! But I figured for the 12" gun the Meprolight tritium/fiber optic sight would be good and for the 16" something with a little magnification would be welcome. But yes, I approve.
of course don't you have like, fuck you money? Go buy an ACOG.

Business has been good but we don't have kids yet
Eventually something like an ACOG would be sweet when I set up my AR as more of a long distance tool. I won't be opposed to dropping some $ on a good optic then. But there are a lot of other things on my wish list ahead of that, both firearm and non-firearm related so it gon' be a while.
