It's worth upgrading, only because most of the people who were die-hard Halo players don't play Halo 2 anymore. So if you had a group of friends who you played with online a lot, Halo 3 is a must to keep playing with them. Plus, a lot of the weapons have been retuned and rebalanced to be more effective. The throwable bubble shields / regens / radar jammers etc. don't really effect the gameplay that much until you get to the really high levels of multiplayer.
My brother is level 40 right now and I was playing with him the other night. Rex can tell you, we were playing together the other night and I was hitting 15+ kills most games, all positives in kills/deaths when we were playing ~level 20s (I'm only level 17 right now because I don't play much). I played with Ben and because he was such a high level, he was bringing in level 40-45+ players, commanders, colonels, etc. I was struggling to get kills. I think I averaged like 4. There is a huge gap between lower and higher levels in Halo... ESPECIALLY in sniping... so I think that's where most of the changes have effected gameplay.
Sort of like Everquest, when the new expansions would come out and favor the higher-end, hardcore gamer as opposed to the layman who plays on his days off like me.

More impressions of Assassin's Creed.
Wow! I like this game more and more every time I play it. There are tons of mini-missions and scenarios you can go through. The cities you travel to are HUGE and although there is some inevitable recycling of buildings and textures, every street feels different and unique. You really feel like you're running through the streets of medieval Jerusalem.
In this game, the rooftops really are your friend. Al-Asad, or whatever your character's name is, can literally climb anything... it's badass. Rooftops keep you away from the hundreds of patrolling guards that randomly walk through the city. These guys will point you out and attack you unless you "blend" which causes you to walk much slower and act like a wandering scholar. The roof usually allows you to get past guards safely, however on the level I'm on now, there are fewer ways to reach the rooftops, the rooftops that are there are crumbling and broken, and there are guards stationed randomly on them which forces you to merc some of them to be able to move around quickly.
Each level provides less and less "hide spots" that allow you to shake the heat if you get spotted .... it's kind of nice, it forces you to rethink attack strategies and methods of roaming through the city. Each city is so big and has so much going on, I think this is a game you could play for hours and hours without getting bored. I'm upgrading it to a B+ so far, with the graphic clarity being the only thing holding it back from A status.

I've been getting into CoD multiplayer more and more. I don't have a whole lot of time to devote to it, but I'm a 34 or 36 I think... I saw you're a 55
I just unlocked a little over 3/4 of the achievements in Assassin's Creed.. fun game, it looks like they're setting it up for a sequel 8)

Regarding Assassin's Creed:
I'll give one thing to the French:
They make awesome adventure games.
Assassin's Creed is awesome. If you like a good story, AC has a good one. It's fun, it's entertaining, and it pretty much kept me riveted to the end.
Great, great game.
I didn't mind the ending either. I thought it was a good way to set up for a sequel, and it's certainly no worse than others we've seen.

Send a friend request to Apoc24.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to recover my old gamertag but I guess that doesn't really matter.
My wife got my Halo 3 but I have a $100 BB gift card I'm itching to blow. What game should I buy? CoD4?

FPS = COD4 and Halo3... and most of us play those or have the games to play.
Racing = MotoGP07 and PGR4... I'd say Forza2, the physics are pretty good, but the tracks are super narrow.

Do not get MotoGP07, no matter what Kaan says.
It sucks.

It actually came with Forza 2 and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.
I've had both MotoGP and TT and neither seemed to hold my interest. It seems the only games that are worthwhile to me these days are ones I can play online with friends.

MotorGP07 you cant play out of the box and be "good"... and you have to know the tracks. also to be fast there are turns you have to back into.
