light is on. The diagnostic computer at the dealer revealed that the fuel
cap code P0442 is tripping the CEL. Changed the fuel cap but the light is
still on. I don't have time to track down the small leak in the evap
system which isn't affecting performance and reliability.
I've heard of this in lots of cars (the fuel cap tripping the CEL), but if replacing the cap doesn't help, how big of a deal is finding/repairing or not repairing a leak in the evap system?
