Natives are fun to catch, because it's sooooo easy compared to a stock trout - and they taste better, but they're so small. I went out to Montana a couple years ago fishing, it was pretty awesome. We caught some massive natives out there. I think I have some pictures somewhere, I'll post them up if I can find them.
if you don't mind small native brook trout (6-10 inches) there is an incredible stream that runs through little stony state park right out near VT. 2 miles of great trails and pretty aggressive brook trout. my favorite trout stream in the world
