take it from the guys that have experience on track lee. do an hpde or two, get some ride alongs, learn the experience of the track before deciding that your 500 whp awd needs a roll cage and fire suppression and 70-way active suspension adjustability, etc. those of us that track our cars have been doing this for several years and we see it time and time again. first you see people drop tons of money on cars. then they are scared to track it. then they learn about the track. then they get out on track. then they wish they had spent their money on different parts instead of the ones they originally bought. then they wish they had a cheaper car to track. my miata is essentially stock aside from the safety bits in it and i'm sure i could scare the piss out of you with it (even though i'm slow). and there's a HUGE difference between a fast car and a fast driver. you'll understand when you come out to the track. come in oct. i'll give you a ride-along.
