Project A4
ScottyB Wrote:Lee, if there's anyone to take advice from on that front it'd be you (and probably Travis). I definitely hear ya. I'm hoping to to the DD thing with a cheapy commuter car at some point, like an old civic. i know many here think i'm nuts but i believe the A4 has alot of potential, and its cheap enough now that i'd be taking a big hit (considering what i've put in it already) in selling it and starting over with something else.

at 350 horses (or thereabout) i'm actually not taxing that much, thankfully. the driveline in B5's are super strong and the internals have seen over 400 horses on a long term basis by others in the VAG community before buckling. as for management, i could certainly just have my chip re-burned instead of going standalone. but i think at that point i'd like some adjustability. and truthfully....this plan will change like 100 times in the next 2-3 years, which is probably when i'll actually get around to it

oh, and as for tuners...there are some big names down here, and in FL too. i'm hoping to take advantage of that while i'm still here. a really popular one is Batlground Engineering, they have a very fast supra drag car that they showcase their products in, and they've done a real killer WRX too.

Excellent, I know you'll make the right decisions when the time comes! 8)
