day or night i usually have mine off. If i'm in traffic or at a traffic light behind someone with a lower car with direct view right into my headlights i turn it off. Once i start riding i turn it back on though.

the only argument i have against that is if two riders are together and they both have their low-beams on where one is significantly ahead of the other rider. Some drivers have poor depth perception and fail to see that there are two vehicles and think it's a car. I've had this happen before and now i keep my high-beam on unless i'm directly behind someone.

I was riding home with Jason the other day and finally I just pulled off to the side and waved him by because his brights were blinding the shit out of me.
sorry about that, perhaps only the leader in the pack of multiple riders should have the high-beam on
