Why Sony is going to hell

But over time Sony has turned into a bastard company that I loathe and despise.
Basically, Sony cripples its electronic products because it doesn't want people to violate the copyright of any of the media they own. They've jealously created a bunch of closed, propietary standards so that they and they alone could control all of the content. And of course consumers have promptly ignored them.

but you still support Apple, who has always and will always create closed standards, force changes on its userbase, abandon legacy users, controll all content, how you interact with it, and on and on, all exponentially worse than Sony.
I guess bastard companies are relative to how trendy their products are?

PS- every peice of Sony electronics I have ever owned has been a colossal pile of shit. 2 dvd players, expensive DD reciever, car cd players, etc. All broke in an unusually short amount of time. Panasonic, JVC or Samsung get my money for electronics (or even one of the cheap tiawanese brands)
