Kaan having a limited speed is irrelevant. You are talking about exponentiation, and a predator tracking a prey traveling at speeds that are growing at exponential rates can achieve his goal. Kaan could have increased his speed forever, but as long as the officer was accelerating at any speed faster than kaan, he would have caught him after a certain amount of steps.
Obviously this would never hold (or kaan would have been in jail), and so your point is valid in real life, but all im sayign is it really shouldnt matter assuming kaan's car cant out accelerate the cops car.
In regards to the article I cannot think of anything in real life that accelerates at such speeds as towers. To go A^A^A^A... faster with each step would be incredible...
Say you're going 2 mph. If you excelerate at towers of 2 at every mile, by the third mile you would be going 2^16 mph...which is 16,384 mph.
